Randy Gananathan is running for Mayor of Pelham - Bringing decades of business and community leadership to Town Hall.
Why Am I Running?
I am running for Mayor because I believe Pelham deserves practical, responsible leadership that listens to residents and plans carefully for the future.
Pelham is growing, and with that growth comes important decisions about taxes, infrastructure, development, agriculture, and the character of our community.
I want to bring my experience in business, management, and community service to Town Hall — focusing on responsible spending, open decision-making, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice.
Most importantly, I want Pelham to move forward without losing its small-town character, heritage, and sense of community that make it such a special place to call home.
Who Is Randy?
Randy Gananathan is a Pelham resident, business leader, and community volunteer with decades of Canadian and international management experience.
Over the course of his career, Randy has managed business units, budgets, technology projects, and teams across Canada, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. His experience has taught him how to listen, solve problems, manage responsibly and bring people with different priorities together.
Since making Pelham his home, Randy has become actively involved in the community. He has served as Vice-Chair of the Pelham Seniors Advisory Committee, represents Pelham with the Niagara Older Adult Alliance, and is a board member with the Niagara Federation of Agriculture (NFA) and its representative to the Political Action Committee of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA).
These roles have given him the opportunity to hear directly from seniors, farmers, families, and residents about the issues that matter most to Pelham.

I Want Pelham to Be
Ready for the Future
I want every home, farm and business in Fenwick, Fonthill, Ridgeville and rural Pelham to have access to reliable, high-speed broadband.
In today's world, connectivity is not a luxury. It affects education, business, healthcare, agriculture, communication and the ability of older residents to remain connected and independent.
I want Pelham to be a community where young people see opportunities for themselves and where families can continue to build their lives.
At the same time, growth must be managed responsibly.
Development should not happen without meaningful consultation with the neighbourhoods affected by it. Roads, water systems, and other infrastructure must be able to keep pace with growth.

Pelham's Agricultural Roots
Agriculture is not simply another industry in Pelham. It is part of our identity.
Through my involvement with the Niagara Federation of Agriculture (NFA) and the Ontario Federation of Agriculture’s Political Action Committee (OFA’s PAC), I have had the opportunity to listen to farmers and better understand the pressures they face.
Farmers deal with challenges that many of us never see — unpredictable weather, rising costs, changing regulations, development pressure, and markets they cannot control.
Municipal decisions should recognize the importance of protecting agricultural land and supporting the people who continue to work it.
Our Heritage Matters
Pelham has a remarkable history.
Our historic buildings, rural landscapes and established neighbourhoods tell the story of generations who built this community before us.
Progress does not mean erasing that history.
I believe we can modernize our infrastructure, improve technology, attract investment, and provide better services while still protecting the heritage and small-town character that distinguish Pelham from larger urban centers.
Town Hall Must Earn
the Public's Trust
Residents deserve to understand how decisions are made and how their tax dollars are being utilized. Municipal government should be open, accessible, and accountable.
When residents raise concerns about taxes and rates, development, infrastructure, or municipal decisions, they deserve to be heard.
I want residents to feel comfortable and empowered to question their municipal government representatives and be assured that their questions will be considered seriously.

Since moving to Pelham, I have tried to contribute rather than simply observe.
My volunteer experience has allowed me to hear directly from constituents and people who care deeply about the future of Pelham community.

- And I see a Town Hall where residents know that their voices matter.
I am running because I believe my experience in leadership, management, technology, and community service can help Pelham navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead.
